2 days of fun! Come for the uphill on Friday night and stay for the 5, or 10 mile on Saturday morning!

Boise's ONLY Hill Climb Challenge is HERE! Think Your Legs Can Handle It?

Tired of the same old flat runs? Ready to conquer some serious vert and earn those epic Bogus views? Whether you're a seasoned mountain goat or just looking for a new, exhilarating challenge, this is your chance to:

  • Test your limits (and laugh while doing it!)

  • Soak in breathtaking scenery

  • Get some bragging rights as a true mountain conqueror!

  • Packet pickup will be available before the event. We STRONGLY encourage participants to pick up their packets BEFORE race day. There WILL be traffic getting up the mountain on race morning and we will close packet pickup on time to ensure we are ready to start on time.

    PACKET PICKUP #1:

    Wednesday July 29 : 12pm - 6:00pm at Fleet Feet Meridian (3573 E Longwing Ln, Meridian, ID 83646)

    PACKET PICKUP #2:

    Thursday July 30: 12pm - 6pm at Fleet Feet Nampa (1850 S Caldwell Blvd STE 120, Nampa ID 83651)

    RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP :

    We will have LIMITED race day packet pickup for those unable to make it to Fleet Feet Meridian or Fleet Feet Nampa. We highly encourage you to pick up your packet in advance.

    Race Day Packet Pickup will be at the Start/Finish Line at the following times:

    Hill Climb: FRIDAY 07/31: 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm

    10 mile race: SATURDAY 08/01: 6:30 am - 7:30 am

    5 mile race: SATURDAY 08/01: 7:30 am - 8:30 am

  • Parking will be available at:

    Bogus Basin Frontier Point Lodge parking lots.

    Volunteers will be present on the day of the race to direct you to a parking spot.

  • Join us for Boise’s only Hill Climb Challenge!

    Start time: 5:30 pm

    2025 COURSE MAP*

    The race finish line is at the summit of Shafer Butte, so we will also guide runners on the quickest route back down. You are expected to get down yourself.

    *NOTE: We are working on a 2026 course that will not require a mandatory warmup from the start area. Please stay tuned for additional information.

  • Bathrooms will be available at the start/finish area through a combination of the Frontier Point Lodge and portable restrooms provided by the race.

    Weather: We wish we could tell you today! While conditions in August can be tough to predict, the NOAA averages for Bogus Basin on August 5 are around 60F for the low temperature, and just south of 90F for the high.

    Keep in mind that the 10-mile race starts at 8:00 AM and the 5-mile race starts at 9:00 AM, so we’ll do our best to get you off the course and onto the celebration as early as possible!

The Boise Front Trail Festival is thrilled that the 10-mile race will double as the USATF Snake River Regional Trail Championship (for the USA Track & Field Snake River Association). Exciting news for USATF members: prize money will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers. YOUTH TRAIL INITIATIVE

YOUTH TRAIL INITIATIVE

The Youth Trail Initiative is a program in cooperation with the American Trail Running Association (ATRA) designed to increase 14 to 18-year-old kids’ participation in trail races and lay the groundwork for American excellence in elite trail running competitions.

As part of The Trial Running Youth Initiative, Boise Front Trial Run is giving a 15% discount to youth athletes!
