2 days of fun! Come for the uphill on Friday night and stay for the 5, or 10 mile on Saturday morning!
Come join us at Bogus Basin for the Boise Front Trail Festival and help make a difference for your community trails while challenging yourself!

We STRONGLY encourage participants to pick up their packets BEFORE race day. There WILL be traffic getting up the mountain & packet pickup will close to ensure we are ready to start on time.

Join us for Boise’s only Hill Climb Challenge!

Start time: 5:30 pm
2025 COURSE MAP*
The race finish line is at the summit of Shafer Butte, so we will also guide runners on the quickest route back down. You are expected to get down yourself.
*NOTE: We are working on a 2026 course that will not require a mandatory warmup from the start area. Please stay tuned for additional information.

Bathrooms will be available at the start/finish area through a combination of the Frontier Point Lodge and portable restrooms provided by the race.
Weather: We wish we could tell you today! While conditions in August can be tough to predict, the NOAA averages for Bogus Basin on August 5 are around 60F for the low temperature, and just south of 90F for the high.
Keep in mind that the 10-mile race starts at 8:00 AM and the 5-mile race starts at 9:00 AM, so we’ll do our best to get you off the course and onto the celebration as early as possible!

YOUTH TRAIL INITIATIVE
YOUTH TRAIL INITIATIVE
The Youth Trail Initiative is a program in cooperation with the American Trail Running Association (ATRA) designed to increase 14 to 18-year-old kids’ participation in trail races and lay the groundwork for American excellence in elite trail running competitions.
As part of The Trial Running Youth Initiative, Boise Front Trial Run is giving a 15% discount to youth athletes!
