SATURDAY, JUNE 12, 2027 | REID MERRILL PARK, EAGLE | THE BOISE RIVER GREENBELT
Treasure Valley Rescue Run
10K ★ 5K ★ FREE KIDS DASH
We start and finish at Reid Merrill Park in Eagle and run the Greenbelt along the Boise River. Bring the whole family, because the kids get a free dash of their own, and every entry helps Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho keep families close while their children receive care.
WHY WE LOVE THIS MORNING
A family morning on the Eagle Greenbelt.
The Rescue Run is the kind of race where everyone in the family finds a finish line. Parents and friends run the 5K or 10K along the river, the youngest runners race the free kids dash, and strollers and dogs are welcome on the course. Every registered runner earns a finisher medal, and the whole crew heads home knowing their morning helped Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho give families a place to stay close to their kids when it matters most.
DATE: Saturday, June 12, 2027
START AND FINISH: Reid Merrill Park, 637 E Shore Drive, Eagle
DISTANCES: The 10K, the 5K, and a free kids dash for ages 10 and under
START TIMES: In 2026, the kids dash started at 8:00 AM and the 5K and 10K started together at 8:30 AM.
EVERY RUNNER: A finisher medal for every registered runner, with race shirts available for the 5K and 10K
BRING EVERYONE: The course is stroller friendly and dog friendly.
WHERE IT GOES: Race proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho.
Pick your distance on the river
Run the 5K or step up to the 10K. Both follow the paved Greenbelt path along the Boise River in Eagle and finish back at Reid Merrill Park.
The kids get a race of their own
The kids dash is free for runners 10 and under, and it starts before the 5K and 10K so you can cheer for them and then run your own race.
Run for families who need a place to stay
Every entry supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, which gives families lodging and meals at no cost while their child receives medical care.
THE COURSE
Along the Boise River and back to the park.
Both races start and finish at Reid Merrill Park and follow the Boise River Greenbelt through Eagle. The path is paved, the river is right beside you, and strollers and dogs are welcome, so it works as well for a family walk as it does for someone chasing a fast 10K.

Kids dash
Starts at 8:00 AM. It's free for ages 10 and under, and it isn't timed.
These are the 2026 course maps and start times, and we'll share the 2027 details here as soon as they're final.
RACE DAY
From packet pickup to the finish line.
Race week starts at Fleet Feet and ends with medals at the park. This is what race week looked like in 2026, and we'll confirm every 2027 time in our race week emails.
Race week packet pickup: Make a plan to pick up your bib before race day. Race morning gets busy, and picking up early keeps the lines short for everyone. Packet pickup is at Fleet Feet Meridian, Fleet Feet Boise, and Fleet Feet Nampa during race week, and we'll share the 2027 days and times in our race week emails.
7:15 AM: We open a limited race day packet pickup at the park for anyone who couldn't make it to Fleet Feet. In 2026, kids dash pickup closed at 7:45 AM, and 5K and 10K pickup closed at 8:00 AM.
8:00 AM: The free kids dash starts.
8:30 AM: The 5K and 10K start together.
The finish: Every registered runner gets a finisher medal, and the top finishers win prizes. Stay a while at the park and help us cheer in the last runners, because that's our favorite part of the morning.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Your race supports Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho.
When a child is in the hospital, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho gives the whole family a home away from home, with lodging, meals, and support at no cost. In 2025, they served 2,494 families and provided 9,370 nights of lodging. Proceeds from the Rescue Run go to RMHC of Idaho, so every runner, walker, and stroller on the Greenbelt is helping a family stay close to their child.
You don't have to train alone.
Whether this is your first 5K or the year you go after a fast 10K, our partner Fleet Feet Treasure Valley has a training program that will get you to the finish line stronger and ready to celebrate.
VOLUNTEER
Cheer them on along the river.
Our volunteers hand out water, point runners down the Greenbelt, and hang medals at the finish, and we would love to have you with us. Sign up to volunteer on RunSignup. If you're part of an organization or passionate about a cause, our Boise Running Races GIVEBACK program donates $25 per volunteer back to the organization of your choice.
